The Basics
There are ancient tribes in places all around the world who are at risk of losing their homes, ways of life, communities and homelands forever. At the same time, there are hundreds of millions of people, like you, in first world countries who are suffering from what can be called 'Climate Anxiety' and who are frustrated and stressed by how little they can personally do to make things better.
Tribal-Trust is a way for people to protect tribal land. You can help in two ways:
OUR FIRST PLAN OF ACTION
The SACRED FOREST
Our first plan of action is to help the ancient Higaonon tribe, who's home is in the Sacred Forest, found on Alik Mountain. Their Kalasan Tribal Village Council is at Lidop Minsaliding, Rogongon, near Iligan City where the bulk of indigenous peoples are found.
This rainforest is the last home of the indigenous peoples and wildlife. The lives of the Higaonon tribe and wildlife depend on it as the foundation of their survival.
Sadly, this rainforest is threatened by developers who want to use the land for mining, real estate and big monoculture plantations such as palm oil that destroy the beautiful nature and culture.
